UPDATE

After discussions with Kris Bedard in length before and
after ISR rules meeting, the SSRA who follows the ISR
rule book will make a couple of changes to our classes
to stay in line with ISR.

First, the turbo Yamaha is in open mod 1000 and King
[Top Fuel] and has to weigh 625lbs

We will be adding a Heavy Mod 1000 class min weight 550lbs combined for naturally aspirated sleds to run against themselves, and the same sleds can run in open 1000 and King which they all will I'm sure to try and beat that Yamaha!! the war is brewing!!!!

Strokers ARE allowed in Prostock and any ignition in Prostock 800 & 1000

For stock classes the SSRA will be adding multi pipe classes for 600,700,800. For the simple reason that the Yamaha Attak, Rx 1, Apex and the Arctic Cat 660 are all classed as 600 triple sleds "for now" and have to run triple pipe classes! in order to have fair racing.

The Polaris 750 turbo is 500 class any mods to stock turbos on these or any factory turbo sleds they go straight to Open 1000!!!!!

The Yamaha Vector, Rage, Nytro all in 500 class.
Driver and gear weight is up to 220lbs including fuel, studs, do if a sled weight is 470 dry, it has to tip the scales at 690lbs for example.

The SSRA is working on having a scale at all races this year.

The SSRA will have Strict and consistant tech at every race!!!!!
DON'T FORGET YOUR TETHER NO EXCEPTIONS!!

There will be NO CLEATED tracks the rule is 3 years old should of had time to change by now. It's a SAFTEY ISSUE now you can't just look at a track and say it's good! old days are gone guys! sorry

The SSRA will continue having Trail stock classes(NO PICKS) so come give it a try do it once and you will be hooked on it!

Any questions, concerns, ideas call Myself [Trent] or Brad and we'll see what we can do. We are already getting lots of calls from racers, new and veteran, that are looking forward to are grass season and even from racers who haven't raced for a few years, coming back on board it'll be good!!

Thanks, Trent Diederich
Vice- President SSRA
